No.

Our current manager gave him a 3 and 1/2-year contract and expected to sign 1 or both of RvWW and Hooper.

I know that the contract would have been sorted between D McN and Becchio's agent, but McNally would have surely gone to Hughton and asked if he really wanted to spend that chunk of the budget for the next 3 years on Becchio.

We just haven't had a chance to see Becchio with a proper 2nd striker yet as Hughton clearly doesn't rate Jackson or Vaughan, but I think he'll be a solid contributor next year.

I also hope Holt sticks around, although if packaging him up to reduce the overall cost of Hooper is what it takes then I'd be happy for that to happen and happy for Grant Holt. Think an exhibition match in the summer would be in order to properly send Holt off!!!
