every season than having the thrill of winning a major trophy and entry to Europe?

Are you perhaps too young to remember football before the Premier League? Life was very different then and there was a much better spread of winners of the major trophies.

Coventry, Sunderland, Oxford, Luton, Wimbledon, Forest, Norwich, West Ham all won trophies.
