Personally I'm not advocating a lowering of the age of consent but to describe anyone who suggests it as part of a wider debate about sex educaton and physical maturity as some kind of sick weirdo is ridiculous.

In Germany for example, a 15 year old can have sex but if it is with anyone over 21 there is the possibility of prosecution.
