As for scoring goals like that, Pilkington says hello. So does Wes and Holt to a lesser extent.

Our reliance on set pieces is down to our deep lying defensive system. Our squad lacks pace that's effective from deep positions, therefore we can't counter attack (from very deep) in order to score goals.

Lambert solved this by having us press high and play the ball short with overlapping off the ball movement. Hughton has killed that this season, hence why we can't score from open play.

Build the tactics around the players, not the other way round...
