Of course the EU limits our sovereignty in some particular ways, but the benefits of this outweigh the disadvantages (in my opinion). Specifically anyone who thinks we'd be better off out of the single market needs their head examining. Also as CWC rightly point out, it affords citizens protective rights that most have no idea about. But the mail and the express prefer to focus on the shape of cucumbers and bananas.
