She probably feels awful

He told her - like he told the world - that he was entirely innocent and that this was dreadful muck raking by people looking for a pay out from the BBC

She advanced that case, as was her professional duty. That was what he was telling her. He was probably pretty credible, too, but even if he wasn't her job was to advance his story.

But now he's admitted that he was lying to her and the world. So she probably feels pretty s**t about it.

How do you think the lawyers acting for this bloke who obviously killed April Jones feel in having to advance a load of utter bollocks? They'll be feeling pretty sick about it. But unless and until he fesses up, their duty is to advance his case to the best of their ability. It's the right of anybody charged with a crime to plead not guilty, and if they do, it's the duty of their lawyer to make that case for them, however distasteful they find it. Them's the rules.
