There are some strange comments about our season at the bottom of the board...

"This season was about staying up with what we had and sorting out the defence, job done"

While the first comment is fair, the second is a tad perplexing. The defence is sorted, really? Only six teams have conceded more, and two of those teams (QPR and Saints) have only conceded a couple more than us. If we're pushing 60 goals conceded (54 atm) by the season's end then the defence is definitely not sorted.

"He tried playing more attacking and got slaughtered at the start of the season"

When did that ever happen? We spent the whole of pre-season building a new defensive system, hence the glut of clean sheets and the lack of goals. When we were hammered by Fulham we sat back and defended.

"Bought defenders, now we rarely get slaughtered"

While we certainly bought defenders, the second part is certainly not true. We have lost by three goals or more five times this season, Fulham (5-0), Liverpool (5-2, 5-0), Chelsea (4-1), Man United (4-0). Last season we only lost by three goals or more four times, Citeh (5-1, 6-0), Sunderland (3-0), Liverpool (3-0).

I really wish that these sorts of posters would do their research before making such flawed statements.
