The current obsession with the "shots on target" stat:

YOu could hit the bar five times and not have registered a "shot on target", while you can limply side-foot into the keeper ten times and the stats would show a goal being peppered for 90 minutes.

This f**king yank-like obsession with meaningless numbers does my head in, did nobody see the Red-and-White wall our midfield and forwards had to get past in the second half yesterday? Stoke nicked the goal and shut up shop, just like we did against them back in October. Honours even this season I'd say. That may not sit comfortably with people who like to think we're a much bigger club than Stoke, but the fact is they're the established Prem team, we're the ones still adjusting and finding our feet.
