Always maintained we've played great at times

and I believe we should because we have lots of quality in the squad. I've maintained throughout the season that we have, even when others slagged they lads off. Even been proven right many times, an example being Elliott Bennett. He was one of the players who was misused/frozen out, whose fault is that?

The regression in the past few months hasn't been acceptable, especially when you consider how good we can be. We became negative for no good reason, 0-0 draws against Toon, QPR and Fulham could have been turned into wins with a bit of bollocks. At least two wins should have happened. Can't blame refs/fortune for that.

Blaming refs and poor fortune is ridiculous to be honest, especially when other clubs have been far worse off in those terms. Three poorly officiated games in a season shouldn't dictate your general style of play.

We're only safe because the quality of the squad has shined through in spite of the dreadful tactics of the past few months. So no, I don't buy your point at all, it just makes it seem even more ridiculous when you consider our potential that has been limited.
