A missed pen shouldn't be the basis on which the choice to attack/not attack is made, especially in a game where we were outplayed and lucky not to lose, Saints had lots of chances and Rodriguez even missed an open goal.
We attacked against Reading and got a deserved result, we also had a go against Swansea at times and got an okay result, so I'm not sure why he's reluctant to let us attack. When we do we tend to do well.
You also have to consider that Hughton was the one who wanted to keep Holt despite last summer's shenanigans...he also spent most of the season starting him when he had Moro available to be play as a lone striker.
