Our attacking players have struggled because they were suited to free flowing attacking

football which involved pressing up the pitch (especially against the lesser teams). A lot of those players are quite slow as well, hence why we have struggled to score goals on the break from a deep lying position this season.

Let's be honest, a lot of our problems last season were down to a lack of quality in central defence. The likes of Ward, Whitbred, Barnett and Martin (as cb cover) aren't a patch on Turner or Bassong. I'd be interested to see how we could do with last season's tactics with the new defensive personnel.
