Is the PL tougher this year........well.... ......

compared to last year the bottom 10 teams have scored less goals per game and conceded less goals per game which suggests it is tougher.

The average defensive unit in the PL has improved including ours.

We are on course to finish 13th with around 42 points vs 12th last year with 47 points

In most years you need to score in the 40-44 goal range to stay up.

The number of goals conceded by bottom 3 last season was 77, 78 and 82

Currently with 4 games to go the bottom 3 has conceded 60, 56 and 65

In my opinion finishing 13th this season would be a huge achievement considering we will probably have the 19th or 20th lowest wage bill in the PL.
