I'm sure it was Coldplay...

I didn't mind his first solo record, but when the second one served up more soppy bollocks I switched off. I don't mind a few slow ones (on your own and History are some of my fave verve songs) but I love the louder stuff. I assume Nick McCabe was the driving force behind those songs.
