I am on Virgin Media, and watch online with no problems.

They aren't afraid to go along with banning sites if asked to by them big media lawyers - e.g Kickass torrents site - but if you are watching stuff which isn't 'banned' then I am not sure why they would care. Maybe your bandwidth is being throttled because you are using too much?
