Actually thought 4-4-2 was the wrong formation today

Let them have too much possession and a foothold in the game for long periods. I think we would have beaten them just as comfortably if not more so with 4-2-3-1. The problem with 4-4-2 is that both your cms have to perform. For me, today Howson only performed in the 2nd half and that was the main reason for our improved performance. I am not convinced though that there are many teams in the prem against whom we could get away with that cm combination in a 4-4-2.
