Trouble is that he's expressing what many footballers think

It's not right imo but is a fact of life. You only have to think about the stick Le Saux got when he admitted to being a Guardian reader of all things.
The effect of a player being outed could be to spell the end of their career. Even worse someone who is not gay gets outed and it has the same effect. People need to think very carefully before posting rumours!
