its the romance of the "struggle"....

for most modern day irish/americans who are now 2nd and 3rd generation irish, vast majority never even been to ireland or are close to relatives remaining in ireland.....same people who feel they must continue their grandparents struggle. Thankfully, a lot of the noriad fundraising dramatically reduced after 9/11.
