...but in the end we'll get thirty-somethings from the reserve squads of Bolton, Fulham, West Brom (Scimeca anyone?) or Charlton.

Plus some "contract rebels" (they're rebelling because no-one else will offer them a contract) from, ooh, take your pick-Leicester, Sheff Weds, Millwall or Rotherham.

And be turned down for a loan offer by a player at somewhere like Blackburn or Sunderland who ends up joining Motherwell or Cardiff City...
