Pallet trucks is a subject I know all about for a change.

You say you need it to lift sofa`s about 4ft high.

top tips to do with Pallet trucks.

If you`re lifting sofas then get the widest possible forks so it doesn`t tip of the side.

obviously make sure the length of the forks are long enough to enable the whole depth of the sofa to sit on them.

Make sure the main wheels (the big ones under the jack) have rubber tyres fitted because nylon wheels pick up all sorts of crap.

try to go for a quick lift model or you will do your back in with all the continual pumping to get the thing up ( ooh err Mrs)

As with most things you get what you pay for.
