My rationale for a solid Rele-Con 3:

We are so close to safety?.but?.to get to 40 points we need 1 win and a couple of draws. The draws will take care of themselves but it is not clear where that win will come from:

- Only won 1 in 15.
- Drawn 5 out of 6 at home.
- We have the second highest proportion of home draws in the league (along with Stoke (43%). QPR are the highest (50%).
- Hughton does not like to go balls out for wins.
- Team seem to think that draws will be enough (witness Elliot Bennett?s comments)
- Horse is out of sorts and out of the team
- Neither Kamara or Bechio have shown much scoring prowess

All three home games are winnable, which is why I think that most pundits are not linking us to relegation. However, I think it is quite possible that we could draw all three. That means that we need to either pick up an away win or at least 2 away draws. Stoke away has got draw written all over it but they will have as a must win. Drawing at Arsenal or Man City seem unlikely.

The good thing is that if we don?t beat Reading we do still have another 2 chances at home to get the win we need. It is therefore not as much of a ?must win? game as some are suggesting. But, if we don?t beat them, then the pressure on the players and the anxiety levels crank up significantly. It will also be interesting to see if Hughton then changes his philosophy.

On the plus side a must win game against Villa would be an absolute corker ? what going to football is all about.

One win, and everyone will be asking what was all the fuss about?
