No, you are being illogical

You are claiming ad hom attacks, ("Is hard to say anything about this issue, Without someone aggressively accusing you of being prejudiced in some way or a proto-di canio") where there were none - so you were in fact attacking the people who were disagreeing and then trying to cover yourself by saying that people will attack the man not the ball.

You can't just say 'I bet people will attack me and not the issue' to cover the fact that you are making stuff up to sound like some poor put-upon person being shouted down.
