So recently my phone has turned itself off and on a few times while it's just been sat on my desk at work or on my coffee table at home....
Last night I went to bed with it charging, as normal, and this morning it was stuck on the boot screen showing "Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300". I can't do ANYTHING to get rid of this whatsoever. If I remove the battery and try to restart the same thing happens again.
Having done a bit of Googling it appears this is some kind of "sudden death" issue that some 16gb versions suffer about 6 months after initial activation. I bought this back in August 2012, so it fits that almost spot on.
Anyone else been through this? I'm with T-Mobile, so see the options as either taking it back to them to complain or going directly to Samsung to get it repaired..
It seems some people have been told they won't get a free repair as they've "rooted" their phone, even when they haven't. I haven't done anything like this with my phone but am concerned the two cracks on screen will somehow put them off fixing this error.
Anyone had to report their Samsung for this "sudden death" issue? If so please let me know what you did and how you got on.
Cheers all.
