The Thermohaline Circulation is not going to switch off

Certainly not in 20 years: not in the next 1000 years.

It *maybe* switched off during the Younger Dryas but that was because an enormous glacial lake (Agassiz) suddenly burst through an ice dam during the warm up from the last glaciation and drained into the Northern Atlantic.
