I try not to feed the trolls as a rule, but that is such a stupid argument I can't resist

There are appalling 'cultural' habits across the world, but it doesn't mean we have to try to understand them. We have a moral code that we legitimately apply to the actions of other people. In Saudi Arabia, there's a culture of throwing stones at someone until they're dead as a means of punishment. Am I supposed to sit back and say, 'well if I look at it from a Sharia point of view, I guess that's understandable'?
