Agree - he did. Although he wasn't the only one to notice

that we'd mysteriously forgotten to assemble a midfield.

Have to say however that I was more optimistic than I should have been about Marney. (Obviously learnt nothing from the Bentley experience.) And I thought Thorne might turn out to to be a good signing. (Which I suppose he still might....?)
