Individual faith can be an amazing source

of warmth, comfort and solace.

When you're younger it's easier to hyper analyse everything. There are "logical" contradictions in all major faiths. And the organised branches of all of them do some pretty awful things as well as some wonderful ones.

When you're older its easier to cope with that because you know life is inherently ambiguous. It's easier to take what makes sense and not worry too much about what doesn't.

Go along to a few things. You may find nothing that works in which case you've lost a few afternoons and nothing else. Or you may find something which helps to cope with the knowledge that more lies behind than ahead.

I can't believe in reincarnation or resurrection but I have perfectly sensible friends who do and it's a source of strength and community for them which I lack.
