FAO Computer people - Microsoft Login

Has anyone ever had issues logging into their Microsoft account to the point of wanting to throw their laptop through the window? Doesn't matter how many times I reset my password it tells me the password is incorrect!!!! Bought 12 months xbox live gold membership for the kids, entered the code & it asking me for the Microsoft Account sign in before its active... No one in this house is happy!!
