234-1 could easily be 310-5 at lunch and 390 all out by tea, giving NZ under 100 to get in the final session.
Even if England get 200 more in, say, 70 overs, NZ could still have a dart at 140 in 20 overs, particularly if they stick McCullum up the order.
Very good day for England but with their current run rate they basically need to bat for all but an hour tomorrow with a longish tail and no idea how the others that failed in the first innings will fare.
