read loads books whilst down there on the conflict (was too young in 82) - best being Vince Bramley's "excursion to hell" - where it hints at merkin mercenaries being captured, then executed, also Col H being a mentalist who only cared about awards/medals and hints at him being shot by his own side!!

worth a read.
