I flew from Brize, mid July, sunny 25 degrees, 12 hours to get to Ascension Island, kicked off the plane for 4 hours re-fuel...herded like catle into an airfield pen with bar - f**king 40 degree heat got s**t faced with a navy lad who instantly became my "bestest mate ever" (never saw him again), 12 hours flying later landed in f**king freezing, 3 ft deep snow f**king windy as f**k at Mount Pleasant Airport (MPA), dossed over night in a sleeping bag, next morning straight up and flew in a Wokka (chinnook) upto Byron Heights..... I was minging!
