Ronaldo is an extreme example but most of his team-mates - van Persie, Welbeck etc - are far fitter than Rooney.

You see him with his shirt off and he just looks like a slightly fat hod carrier, not a 21st Century footballer.

Too late/too ingrained to change now, which is why he's on his way aaaht while United can still raise a buck or two for him.
