It all depends what sort of season

A s**tty relegation season in the prem (94-95 eg) is far worse than a promotion season in a lower league

But if the outcomes are the same, then obviously a boring mid table or just avoiding relegation season in the prem is better than the equivalent in a lower league

A promotion season from a lower league vs a just avoiding relegation season in the prem? Pretty close but the promotion season would definitely be more enjoyable
