I probably wouldn't vote UKIP at the expense of the Tories if the Tories could win my seat

as would be a wasted vote but might do in a European parliament election or an election in this country if it was close between them, labour and the lib dems for a seat. I don;t think the Tories ever have much chance of getting in in my seat so maybe that scenario might be quite likely at the next election. I just find the attitude that a minority party with right of centre views are automatically labelled a bunch of c*nts by the right on lefties on here or are just worthy of derision. On quite a lot of issues UKIP represent what quite a lot of middle class England think but the main parties can't say. Fact. They will almost certainly never get in but at least its a group of people who got off their backsides and started a party rather than just moaning about stuff. That said Cameron's recent referendum speech has arguably screwed them to a degree.
