Open to debate.

As you know, generally a volley is when you hit the ball while it's in the air.

Some people count a volley if the ball has bounced off the floor, high into the air then you t**t it.

Some purists say it's only a volley if the ball has come off someone and you hit it in the air before a bounce.

However it CERTAINLY doesn't count if you hit it straight after it's hit the deck. That be a half vollley.
