Odd goings-on in Switzerland

Sion are only fourth in the Swiss league but have just appointed their fifth manager of the season - Gennaro Gattuso. Even more bizarrely, the previous manager wasn't sacked, but 'demoted' to a scouting position - can anyone remember ever hearing of a manager being relieved of his duties to be given another job at the club?
