If you haven't been to Petra it's a must!!!

It's where the Kings Highway meets the Silk Road. You can see where an earth quake split the rocks to form the entrance to Petra.

And where an earth quake destroyed the Roman settlement. The 'Treasury' is superb.

So much to do I the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

The snorkelling/diving around Aqaba will be superb if it's anything like Taba. Coral reefs are just meters off shore. I just snorkelled and saw barracuda, assortment of rays, pipe fish, lion fish, brilliant, but there is absolutely nothing else to do in Taba, unless you play golf!

Saladin's castle is not far off the coast.
