Toss up between?

Crowded House in Sheffield, early '90s - wasn't a fan, got dragged along by a classmate who had a massive crush on the singer from Voice of the Beehive, who were doing support. She was ill so they never appeared. Crowded House were rubbish and my mate whined all night

Sting - Got dragged along by my dad to Sheffield Arena when I was about 12. Hated it, and Sting was an utter dick? as uusal

Carter USM - Sheffield Leadmill, late 90s. One of their last ever gigs. Small crowd, and those who were there gave them stick for doing newer songs and not "Sheriff Fatman". For some reason I used to quite like Carter, but this was a rubbish gig

Orbital - Big Chill Festival a few years back. I have seen Orbital loads of times and interviewed them in my days as a full time music hack. They'd chucked away all their old gear and replaced it with new stuff. Hence, the gig sounded s**t. Just couldn't get into it at all. Ruined my night, that, as I was bang up for a bit of "Chime", "Impact" etc

Also got dragged to a few terrible folk concerts when I was a nipper. Lots of people with beards (the women too) in a small room above a pub off the Snake Pass, listening to other bearded people moan about stuff and pretending its the middle ages
