Leonard Cohen's are generally better than his studio albums (real band rather than him croaking over a Casio keyboard on demo)
Rem's Live at the Olympia in Dublin was the best thing they've put out in years (rem live was rubbish though)
Nina Simone, Willard grant conspiracy, white stripes, Alison moyet, velvet underground, Liz green john cale all have put out awesome live stuff.
Joanna MacGregor's live in Buenos Aries is one of the best classical albums ever.
So, respectfully, I disagree. I like the rawness of live performance (both at gigs and on record)
