If anything, it's the premier league that's boring. The money makes it so important for

teams to stay up that not losing becomes the number one criteria. I thought this last season too, even under lambert who was more attack minded. There were only a handful of games where played in an attacking style and it paid off. Mostly it was nullified by a strong defence.

PL clubs, especially ones that have been there for a few seasons seem to have been able to cherry pick the best players from around the world - big, strong athletes with lots of skill who are brilliant at keeping the ball. You don't get this in the championship and the mistakes lead to much more exciting games.

I can see why pundits raved over Blackpool when they came up as you don't see this style of play in most prem games but of course ultimately it didn't help them. Now I'm trying to re-educate myself to enjoy other things about the game!
