while all the big rich money-spending clubs (apart from QPR lol) win everything each season and beat us every year (well most years)?

No I don't. I'm not fking stupid. I'd love to see us winning things and titles and play in Europe with the best players in the world bla bla bla

But i'm also a fking realist

I recommend it sometimes, keeps things in perspective.

For example, we gained promotion to the top flight in super quick time recently (well ahead of McNally's SEVEN year play)

Suddenly FCR expects us to keep winning every league we're in, every game we play

GET real!

If that makes me Selwyn's opposite in your opinion, then you're welcome to it, I'm just saying it how I see it and managing my own expectations.

We're are progressing when you look at our football club over a slightly longer timeframe than 1 day/month/year etc

and that keeps me staying positive

Next time we do a freefall into league one again, trust me, that is WHEN you will see genuine negativity

until then, I will enjoy my homegrown football team playing in one of the top leagues in the world, even if we finish 17th for the next few years to achieve that
