I really didn't get on with Breaking the Waves ...

... Real "love it or hate it" film. I found Emily Watson acutely irritating, thought it was at least 40 minutes too long and couldn't care about the storyline at all. Agree about "The Idiots" - certainly couldn't ever sit through it again. "Dogville" is wonderful, though.

Herzog-Kinski box set is out - "Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes" (Aguirre, Wrath of God in English IIRC) is the one to see - absolutely stunning. The films with Bruno S. (Kaspar Hauser and Stroszek) are really good, too.
