..12 months ago we spent "big" on Bennett and Howson - neither had much impact on the rest of the season other than the obligation to play both given the scale of the expenditure. The net effect was that the balance of the team was upset and we had a much poorer 2nd half of the season as a result.

Similarly, spend big bucks on Hooper and we either have go to 4-4-2 (or 4-5-1 and drop the Horse) and either way risk undoing all the good work getting a balanced team together that Hoots has done. Becchio gives more excellent options from the bench - especially if Hoots takes a more audacious substitute policy as PL did.

Morison never committed to the cause - good luck to the guy but his natural home is the Championship.

We need 3 more wins - I reckon they are more likely to come with Becchio than Hooper. IHWT!
