Not really ...

... The plan is to spend 4 very pleasant years doing a PhD and hope that my career sorts itself out - once that's finished I expect I'll have either drifted it high-level journalism, teaching, other writing or (most likely) a combination of the three. Don't expect to ever make much money though!

In some ways it's really exciting but in others but in others it's quite nervy - the sort of certainty you get from your degree would be appreciated some times! And if I don't get PhD funding it all goes out of the window and I have to rethink.

Good luck with the internship though - is it paid?
