Well quite a day in store then. Not holding my breath but.....

I still feel there is a final big swoop attempt in us today, almost certainly for Hooper. I really feel if we could land him it could make all the difference.

I think that if Becchio signs then we probably have just about enough to see us over the line (if Holt and Bassong can stay fit) but only just enough and it would certainly be a little bit of a gamble in such a crucial season for the club to spend so little in the January window. That extra striker could therefore make all the difference - if you look at games like last night we had very few shots on target despite getting into quite a few good attacking positions. A more shot hungry striker may have seen us a couple up at half time.

That said its all a gamble. We could get Hooper and he could turn out to be crap. I just think it would be a gamble worth taking and hope we are able to take it. If we make our best offer and Celtic reject it then so be it, at least we tried.
