Mixed feelings about today's reported activity. On the positive side, well, Morison (though I like him) won't be a huge miss if he's offski: he did start well last season and showed character at the end but he's really let down by how poor his left foot is, so replacing him with Becchio who seems better balanced might be a good thing. And we know nowt about Kamara other than reports that he's a bit rapid. if he's going to get a squad number that suggests Simeon or SCM will be off the list of 25, and neither has really demonstrated that they can hack it in the prem. So, not bad news though no sign of major improvement.

Looking at it negatively: two unproven strikers when we were (I was) hoping for a sign that the club is looking forwards and trying to improve the overall quality.

My own feelings: NOT MORE FUCKING LEEDS FFS but let's reserve judgement. I never thought we'd sign Dogscock but it'd have been a bit exciting if we'd spaffed that kind of cash.

the one that worries me is the rumour of selling Holt if we buy Hooper. I'd see that as a sign of seriously flawed judgement, even though I think I recognise signs that Holt is unhappy at the style we're going to be using for the foreseeable future. So am I, as it goes. My only hope is that given (hopefully) better options up front Hoots may decide to try and be a bit more aggressive, especially if the cautious stuff continues to bring no good results.
