Why Yesterdays result might be good for the long term future of the club.

(1) Keeping in the PL is crucial with the huge increase in money next year. Playing less games and having more rest than our opposition can only be a good thing.

Being debt free and having more cash next season could see us push on and make quality signings in the summer

(2) It showed we clearly need extra help now. If the board were on the fence about certain signings they may see that its obvious we need a minimum of 1-2 strikers, one quality CM player and maybe another CB

(3) In my opinion certain sections of the fan base having been getting a bit full of themselves.
Starting to sound like Blackburn fans having totally unrealistic expectations.
Fans don't want to hear the fact that staying in the PL is better than a cup final.
Some fans need to be more realistic about our position in football and im not talking about beating Luton, obviously the team we put out should have smashed them as we did vs Peterborough.
The calls for sacking Hoots were beyond retarded while we sit 13th in the PL, a position we could have only dreamed of on a cold winters night in Brentford.
