I'm not really bothered who the secret footballer is, BUT does anyone remember this?

He makes reference in his book to a player who made his own captain's armband by drawing a big C on a length of tubigrip and stuffing his arm in it. I remember seeing this armband on telly, and thinking it was really s**t, but I can't remember who was wearing it. Google and Google Images hasn't helped. Anyone else remember it?
