I agree that any manager needs backing but we can't spend fortunes everytime we fall apart

Worthy spent a lot of money on utter dross before we got to the prem. Short term it worked but long term the club went backwards because of this approach.

We need a manager who can inherit good players (not like Lambert at Villa) and make the most of the money that he's given.
