Those of you who think Ashton will be sold in the summer are talking absolute s**te.

For 2 reasons.

Firstly, Norwich will never let him go for ?3m or ?4m. Ie, the same as we have paid.

Secondly, while he is a brilliant prospect, no top Prem clubs will fork out ?7m for a player who has scored 7 goals in 16 Premier League matches. Not a chance.

For that amount, these days, you need a player who has already shown he can consistently score at the very highest level.

Ashton has enjoyed a good season - and I reckon he will play for England - but he is hardly the finished product. If you are paying ?7m, you want to see more than 7 Prem goals.

Top teams will wait until January at the earliest. Maybe then.

By which time, we will hopefully be halfway there.
