I?d no idea who Steve Stride was so I looked on his wiki page; years of service to Villa and then this : -

Stride was a member of the three-man Football Association commission who in 2002 controversially voted for Wimbledon F.C. to be allowed to relocate to Milton Keynes.

Stride was one of the two who voted for the move.
